This is a database on sustainable development in the Scania Region of southern Sweden. The database covers a number of different topics which shows different solutions within the definition of sustainable development, and spans projects within a broad range from energy efficiency to biodiversity. It also shows a projects spread geographically in the region.
The chosen projects are not of the term best practice, they are good examples from a broad interpretation of the term sustainability, also showing projects that have been important historically for the development. It also shows different approaches to sustainability. From low-tech self-build to technically advanced larger projects. In addition to the database there will be published a printed guide with a selection of projects. In the web-based database there will always be possibilities to add info and projects
The project is run by the NGO organsiation HUT Skåne, with project management by the Environmental strategy unit at the Environmental department in the City of Malmö.
The project is funded by Region Skånes environmental fund. |
